Here are the Ray Comfort YouTube videos:
They have produced some really good movies as well:

I came across a YouTube video of a movie and started watching it. I have found it to be well done and very interesting. It deals with the subject of homosexuality … something so very prevalent in these End Times … just as God prophesied in the Bible. Such as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the last days. Homosexuality was rampant in Noah’s time. God destroyed mankind with the exception of 8 people because of sin. Sin is a very serious matter. If we ignore it we will face God’s judgement and wrath. I like the statement shown below: “Love can’t stay silent“.
LET US REASON TOGETHER.
Alright, who did it? Who is responsible for all this I see? Was it you? I didn’t think so. And it surely wasn’t me. I didn’t do it. And I am quite sure it wasn’t George who did it even though people are always saying “Let George do it”. So then, who did it? I bet the majority of you don’t know the answer … or at least wouldn’t admit to knowing the correct answer. Deep down inside our innermost being we all truly know the correct answer. We just tend to be in denial. Some people foolishly believe that nobody did it … that it all just happened all by itself. When you stop and think about it that takes a whole lot of faith.
The thing I find most interesting about the entire matter is that we are free to think and believe whatever we want to. Yes, we can believe that nobody did it … that it just happened. And there is a very good chance that we might even get away with thinking such a thing … at least for awhile. But I want to assure you that such foolish thinking will eventually catch up with you.
Somebody most certainly made everything that exists … both the seen and the unseen. Who was it? The holy scriptures declare that Jesus Christ created everything that exists (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16). That includes us and that means we are accountable to Him. When we come to the end of this life He has given us we will answer to Him. Our eternal fate will already be determined when we die. We will not have any more opportunity to do anything to effect our eternal destination. And none of us know if we will even have the next breath and heartbeat. If we die “in our sins” we will surely perish in eternal damnation in hellfire. God has warned us! It is so very dangerous to procrastinate. God offers us salvation now. Tomorrow may be too late. What will you do with Jesus?
HERE are various resources available to help you further understand and resolve the sin problem and aid you in coming to Jesus Christ on His terms.
I came across this video and watched it. It is very well done and interesting so I am sharing it here.
When it comes to Laminin it has become popular to use such phrases as “Great designers always leave their mark” and “Fingerprint of the Creator” in regards to the discovery and display of Laminin.
“Laminin is a protein that is part of the extracellular matrix in humans and animals.” In short, it is what holds our bodies together. It is like a “glue”. The reason it has become popular is because of it’s shape … a cross and what God has said in His Word.
Colossians 1:17 reads, “He [Christ] is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Scientists can’t even explain why an atom doesn’t fly apart. By all known and understood physical science an atom should literally fly apart … explode. Yet they don’t … not unless nuclear reaction takes place … hence, the atom bomb. Anyway, what is known about laminin backs up what is clearly proclaimed in God’s Word. You can read more about it HERE.
Just a word or two about this matter of Science and the Bible. I will start out by saying that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. The Bible is well able to stand entirely on it’s own. Science on the other hand does not share this same claim. What is known and what is believed changes. We can not count on science to be always correct. Therein lies the problem. Science comes in two forms … true science and pseudoscience. Pseudoscience is a claim, belief or practice which is incorrectly presented as scientific, but does not adhere to a valid scientific method, cannot be reliably tested, or otherwise lacks scientific status. The problem with pseudoscience is that it is presented as fact when it is not and many people foolishly and dangerously accept it as true science. I am here to tell you that true science is always in accord with God’s Word … it backs up what God has said to us in the Bible. There are countless examples of this thruout history. Many times man has believed things which were untrue only to later discover that it is not as he had believed. When science finally gets it right it is always exactly what God’s Word has said all along. Just a few examples of this — man once believed that the earth was flat and if you went far enough you would fall off the edge. Eventually man discovered and started believing that the earth is a sphere. God’s Word told us all along that the earth was round … “Isaiah 40:21-22” and “Job 22:14”. Another example is the water cycle. There was a time the water cycle was not understood and what was believed about it was all wrong … some of it was silly nonsense. Job 36:27-28; Ecclesiastes 1:6-7; Isaiah 40:12 and 55:10 explains the hydrological cycle. Again, eventually it was figured out. Yet another illustration was the matter of blood letting that used to take place. It was believed that releasing blood from the body was a good thing and would help “cure what ails you”. The truth is if you remove too much blood from the body the person will die … and many did. God’s Word had it right all along … telling us that “life is in the blood” … “Leviticus 17:11”. Yes, man has believed and embraced some real nonsense in the past, but eventually the truth is grasped … and without exception it is always in line with God’s Word. You can read more about all of this HERE.
Happy Holidays? … Not Hardly! It’s called Christmas for a reason. And this song says it all …
There is lots going on in this world we live in. Here is a video I highly recommend (as I do all of this man’s VIDEOS):
Sin is a terrible thing. It is rebellion against God. God takes it very serious and expects and demands that we do too. We were born with a sin nature. It is our nature to sin! And it is this sin problem we have that is the problem … the very thing that blocks our way to God and heaven. God is holy and pure as is heaven. God cannot and will not allow anything which is impure in His presence. That means that when this life on earth is over our eternal soul which belongs to God and He would love to have in His presence can not go to Him. Sin has a very high cost for “the wages of sin is death (eternal damnation)”. Romans 6:23
Sin is a force which pulls us down and try as we might to obtain God’s acceptance and approval we can never overcome sin’s pull. I am reminded of what it is like trying to run up a down escalator.
It is challenging, but it can be done. This is not so when it comes to overcoming sin’s pull. It is like this SLINKY … which fails to go down the up escalator.
Yes, like this slinky we can try our best. but we cannot and will not ever live our lives without sin …. not in our own strength. It can’t be done. So we have a problem indeed. None of us are good enough … none of us “measure up”. We all miss the mark. That’s why we need God’s help. In His great love for us He sent His Son to bring the remedy to us. Jesus lived a perfect life without sin. Only He was capable of doing so. He purposely came to earth to live among us showing us God (Who He is, what He is like, etc.). He purposely died a horrific death shedding His “innocent” blood so that we can be forgiven of our sin as well as cleansed by His blood. God has told us “… without the shedding of (innocent) blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins.” Hebrews 9:22 Amplified Bible
Not only does the innocent shed blood of Jesus Christ provide forgiveness and cleansing, but God goes further. He sends His Holy Spirit to dwell within us to help us live our lives free from sin and obey Him. He empowers us to rise above the pull of sin … to overcome sin victoriously. That is not to say that it is impossible for a Christian to sin any further. But if and when we do God tells us that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 ESV
Have you settled the sin issue in your life? If not, you can be sure “… your sin will find you out”. Numbers 32:23 God warns us that if we die in our sin we are without hope … doomed for all eternity suffering torment and anguish in the lake of fire. Like I said, God takes sin seriously and we need to as well.
What will you do with Jesus? Someday your heart will be asking, “What will He do with me?”
There is an old STORY told about a frog and a pan/pot/kettle of water. The story goes like this … If you drop a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will, of course, frantically try to jump or climb out. But if you place it gently in a pot of water which the frog considers is a comfortable temperature and then slowly heat the water, it will float there quite contently. As the water gradually heats up, the frog will sink into a tranquil stupor, exactly like one of us in a hot bath, and before long, with a smile on its face, it will unresistingly allow itself to be boiled to death.
This most certainly describes what is going on in this world we live in. Most of us (especially in developed nations) sit back in ease and comfort not realizing that there are those who have lit a fire under us and we will soon be destroyed in our ignorance and apathy.
Former President George H. Bush publicly used the words “New World Order” more than once while in office. The Illuminati is and has long been at work to bring about their new world order and we are seeing it coming along really strong over the last few years. And this current Administration has really sped up things carrying out their evil agenda. Everything is pretty much in place now and their plan of eliminating millions of people from the face of the earth and greatly reducing the population is not far off. You can read about some of what is planned and in place HERE. Those millions of people include but are not limited to: Christians, Jews, conservative patriots, the elderly, sickly, diseased, mentally ill … pretty much anybody and everybody who oppose or threaten them, won’t go along with them, or they believe do not contribute anything to their cause and purpose but are a burden or drag on society.

I HAD ANOTHER VIDEO HERE MUCH MORE INTERESTING AND REVEALING THAN THE ONE ABOVE BUT IT HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM YOUTUBE WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION.
To a great degree we are what we think about ourselves and we limit what we accomplish in life including what we do in service to God in obedience to Him. Today in church our pastor was sharing about the story of the Lord dealing with Gideon (Judges chapter 6). More than one person told about in the holy scriptures struggled with low self esteem and incorrect thinking about themselves. Sadly, most of us tend to think less of ourselves than God does. That being said it is important that we don’t think more of ourselves than we should as pride enters in. “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5, James 4:6) We need to think of ourselves according to what God says about us … no more, no less.
Anyway, during our church service today in the middle of the message the pastor showed this video to us. It brings home this point of how we tend to see ourselves vs. how others see us. It can be quite a contrast.
This is a Dove television commercial. Some call it “You are more beautiful than you think” as this is shared toward the end of the video.
The video description reads: “Women are their own worst beauty critics. Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful. At Dove, we are committed to creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. So, we decided to conduct a compelling social experiment that explores how women view their own beauty in contrast to what others see.”
After viewing this and thinking about the subject I decided to share it here. There is a life lesson of sorts here which we all need to take seriously. God truly loves us and has great plans for our lives. We need to seek Him while He may be found.
It is said that people are living longer now than they used to. I won’t try to argue that … not unless we are talking about going a very long way back in man’s history. Before the biblical flood man lived over 900 years.
As far as recent times … say in my life time (I am presently 67 years old) most definitely there are more people living longer than was the case when I was younger. That being the case I want to throw a monkey wrench into the the scenario. I check the obituaries almost daily and pay attention to the ages shown of those who have passed on into eternal life. Most certainly I see lots of people listed as being in their 80s and 90s … even a few 100s. My own dad died at 93. However I also see lots of people shown as dying in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. I decided to try something out of curiosity. I recorded all the ages of all those listed in the obituaries. I added them all up and then divided that number by the number of deceased individuals. The average age was 71.12 years. I want to call your attention to this figure because I want to point out that God has said in His word that the average lifespan of man is 70 – 80 years (Psalm 90:10). There are certain locations in the world where the people live longer that this on average, but averaging out all of mankind thruout the world I think you will find the figure is still in the 70 to 80 year range. Even the secular sources state that the average life expectancy for man is about 78 years now. Why am I mentioning this you ask? I don’t know. I just think it is somewhat interesting. When I hear people say that we are living longer today than we did many years ago I think of this. Yes, many do, but the average is still according to what God has said! And yes, everybody has eternal life. It is just a matter of where we will be spending it. We have a choice!
When I was serving in the U S Navy near the end of my last enlistment I had a T-shirt made up which I bought in the Philippines. I loved to wear it when I left the ship on liberty. The enlisted “lifers” and officers didn’t much care for it nor appreciate my wearing it, but I didn’t let that stop me. “Gettin’ Short” was the caption imprinted on the T-shirt along with an image. That refers to my time left in the Navy was getting short. Indeed, I was a “short timer”. On the back side of it it had another caption … “USN … Never Again!” Here is a picture of me wearing this T-shirt taken in Guam at a swimming hole in a local river with a water fall in the background:
Note: You can view this image above much larger by clicking your mouse on it. It will appear in it’s own webpage. To return to this page just use your browser’s back button.
And here is a closeup of the T-shirt:
As you can see the image imprinted on the T-shirt consists of a head (face) wearing a sailor hat and two legs with feet wearing black navy shoes. There are no arms or trunk (abdomen, chest, shoulders, etc.) … The little guy is “gettin’ short”. Cute, huh? I got out the Navy for the final time back in 1976. That is quite a long time ago … over 37 years. Sometimes it seems like all of 37 years and other times it seems like only 3 years.
Percentage wise most people do only serve one enlistment in the military and then get out returning to civilian life. That was my original intention but I had been told about the Navy’s “Intermediate and Advanced Welding School” which I wanted to attend to get such a great education in welding … something that would be extremely costly to achieve in civilian life. I was told that I needed to reenlist for 4 years in order to attend this school. So I reenlisted and received my orders to attend this school. Upon getting there I found out that I would not have had to reenlist or even extend my current enlistment to get it. The Navy had lied to me! Also I found out that the school was not at all anything like I had been told it would be. They lied to me about that as well. The school was a farce and extremely disappointing! I became rather embittered over all of this. After all, I had given the Navy 4 more years of my life for this. Anyway, those first two enlistments gave me a total of 6 years active duty. When the time came I got out and remained out for 2 years and 8 months before reenlisting again for a second time for an additional two years. This was during the Viet Nam war and my rating in the navy (shipfitter/hull maintenance technician) was in demand so I got back in without losing any paygrade (rate) which was really nice. I had made the decision to reenlist because the economy was doing very poorly and jobs were scarce. I had been attempting to be self employed in my own welding business when the economy was hurting so my business was not doing well. I also was in debt and needed to have a means of paying off my debts. And there were other personal reasons which I won’t go into here. Anyway, returning to the Navy provided a means of starting over and getting myself all straightened out. It did indeed accomplish that. Even so, that last two years was hard for me as I really wanted back out badly.
Yep, I was counting down the days … I had my official short-timer’s calendar on which I marked off each day I had left to serve. When the time came I got out and never looked back so to speak. I have no regrets about my decision. It would, of course, be nice to have the retirement pension. I was not willing to stay in to get it however. 8 years of my life was plenty!
I was thinking about this Gettin’ Short T-shirt earlier today and it brought to mind something else which is “gettin’ short” … namely the time left before the end of this age comes and the Lord Jesus returns. Yes, the signs are there just as prophesied and there is no doubt the time left is short.
It was also aboard this same last ship that I served on which is part of the story of how I went from being a hard-hearted atheist to being a born again Christian. You can read about it HERE. A very big part of the path God took me down to accomplish this involved the study of End Time Bible Prophecy.
With all the end times signs upon us Luke 21:28 instructs true Christians believers: “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (NKJV) For those who have placed their hope and trust in Jesus Christ this is a most precious promise. What or who do you hope and trust in?
Extremely difficult times are coming soon for those who “miss the bus”. By that I mean that they are not part of the people God removes from the earth before the final 7 year long period where God in His righteous anger deals with sinful rebellious Christ-rejecting mankind and pours out His wrath. God has said that those who belong to Him are not appointed unto His wrath and that He would come to get them and take them to heaven to be with Him. Bible prophecy is indeed fascinating but it is also scary for anyone who doesn’t know the Lord and have a right relationship with God. Most people are ignorant of what God’s Word has to say to us. We live our lives as though everything will just continue on as always and there is nothing to concern ourselves over. A very rude awakening awaits such people. It is most dangerous to ignore God and His warnings to us.
God loves all of us and it is His desire that we all turn to Him and deal with the sin issue we all have … deal with it on His terms. Jesus paid it all. All to Him we owe. Here are some good resources:
This was your life (the gospel presented in comic book form)
If you have never read the bible before I would suggest to you that you start in the New Testament and read the book (gospel) of John. And I would further suggest to you that before doing so you should do the following:
1) be sure to use a bible written in a language you can understand. I most definitely would advise you to avoid the King James Version (New King James Version is okay) as it is written in a language we no longer use, know, or understand. Many words in it mean something different today than they did back when it was written. If fact, some words mean just the opposite today as they did when it was written.
2) put aside any and all beliefs, teachings and thoughts you may already have concerning God and His Word
Approach this with a clean slate so that nothing clouds up communication between God and you.
3) ask God to help you to understand what you are going to read in His Word … ask Him to “speak to you” thru His Word.
If you don’t have a bible available to read you can read it free online. HERE is a link to the Gospel of John in the Living Bible. I don’t recommend a paraphrase version of the bible for serious bible study but they are ok for some things. It was this very book in this very bible version God used to speak to me initially. Again, I encourage you to read my personal testimony I have linked to further above. You can read about it HERE.
You can even listen to the bible read to you online: Audio Bible

We all like and want guarantees … the more, the longer, the better. Most of us have heard the saying that the only guarantees we have in this life are taxes and death. We certainly have taxes although many have managed to elude paying taxes . And no one has yet to discover any means of escaping death (and they never will). Sooner or later we will all face death. So I don’t think anyone would argue that neither of these are something we tend to get all excited about. Most of us who pay taxes think that we pay way too much and indeed we do as far as the cost of “Constitutional government”.
Therein lies the problem … government is out of control and the cost is beyond comprehension and beyond any hope of recovery. A major crash is coming soon which will be used to trigger all the rest of the Illuminati’s plan of final takeover of our lives and this world we live in. Extremely difficult and dangerous times are coming soon. We have no guarantees of how life is going to be for any of us. And death may very well come early for many of us at the hands of these evil hearted people.
6 million Jews and many others suffered greatly and died a horrible death at the hands of such people back in the time of Hitler. It is about to be repeated but few are aware of it, believe it or are prepared for it. Most people think life is just going to continue on as it always has been. What a rude awakening awaits them! God has said in His Word that “Men’s hearts will fail them for fear and for looking upon those things which are coming on the earth”. (See Luke 21:26)
In this life we have very few guarantees, but we do have some. Let me list some which come to mind:
1) We all will die and stand before the judgement seat of Jesus Christ and give an account of our lives to Him.
2) We all have eternal life … it is just a matter of where we will spend it.
3) If we die in our sins, we shall surely perish into eternal damnation.
4) If we come to God on His terms He offers us salvation … the forgiveness of our sins and the consequences of our sin removed (the sentence upon us overturned) and the promise of spending eternal life with Him.
5) We should not fear man who can only destroy this body, but we should fear God Who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell.
Those are just a few guarantees that come to mind. As to what lies ahead for anyone of us as far as these difficult times I have been speaking of I don’t know and I can’t say I am anxious to find out. But this much I know … Jesus has not appointed me to His wrath. I may have to face man’s evil doings but I will face it with hope of eternal life in Christ and remembering that to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Jesus suffered a horrific agonizing death so that you and I could have eternal life with Him. He demonstrated His love for us in that while we were in the very act of committing sin (showing ourselves to be God’s enemies in rebellion against God), He died for us. There is no greater demonstration of love than one who lays down his life for his enemies. If you have not answered the question yet I put it to you now …
“What will you do with Jesus?” Someday your heart will be asking, “What will He do with me?”
We are all like sheep! Sheep are a vulnerable creature and quite helpless oftentimes. Left on their own they wander off and get lost. They get themselves into trouble that they aren’t likely to get out of without help. Without a shepherd they most likely sooner or later would die from one cause or another. Most likely they could end up on the lunch menu of some other animal such as a wolf, bear, etc. In short, sheep need a shepherd to watch over them, protect them and guide them along.
Yes, we are all like sheep! We have gone astray. (see Isaiah 53:6) We have wandered off on our own into dangerous territory. We will surely perish if we don’t get help. A shepherd who is watching over a flock of sheep oftentimes will leave the flock and go looking for a single sheep which has wandered off of its own … to rescue it and bring it back to the fold.
God’s Word tells us that Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd (John 10:14). He has a flock He watches over. He is out looking for lost sheep and wanting to bring them back to the fold.
It is God’s love for us that compels Him to be the Shepherd Who was willing to lay down His life for us. Upon finding lost sheep there is reason to rejoice for we are so very precious in His sight.
Yes, Jesus is looking for lost sheep, but the problem is some sheep don’t want to be found. In God’s great love for us He created us with free will. We have the ability and freedom to choose. We can remain lost and wandering if we want to, but we are told that if we make this choice we will have a tragic fate. Jesus is a gentle Shepherd. He won’t force Himself upon us. But understand this … He loves you and I so much that He was willing to lay down His life for us … to take upon Himself the horrible punishment for our sins … in our place so that we would not have to face this ourselves. Only God could have provided the “innocent blood” needed … indeed, demanded and required … to accomplish this for us. Yes, even if one of us underwent the beating and crucifixion Jesus did it would have been in vain as none of us have “innocent blood”. We are all sinners. Only Jesus was without sin in His life. He paid the price so that we won’t have to. He offers us forgiveness and a new life in Him. But it can and will only happen if we come to Him on His terms. So if you are a lost sheep I encourage you to start bleating out … BAAAAA! BAAAAA! so that you may be found. Don’t be like this guy below.
If we choose to do so we can, but we will die in our sins and surely perish into eternal damnation. Jesus is coming back to earth soon. When He comes He is not coming as He did the first time. He is coming in righteous anger to pour out His wrath upon sinful Christ rejecting mankind. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart and ignore and reject Him. Seek Him while He may be found … while He is out looking for you … a lost sheep. BAAAA!
I think one of the most powerful Christian tracts I ever read was one entitled “Goodnight or Goodbye”. It is a story about a man about to die who is spending his last moments of life on earth with his family at his side. One by one he speaks to them. I could relate the story paraphrasing it from my memory, but instead I will simply post it here exactly like the tract shares it.
“A devoted Christian business man was struck by an automobile and rushed to a hospital. He was informed by the doctors that he had only about two hours to live. He had implicit faith in the goodness of God and in His Word, so to him death was only a gateway leading to the glory of heaven and the presence of God. He had his family called to his side, and thus addressed them:—
“Goodnight, my dear Wife. You have been the greatest woman in the world to me. Through sunshine and shadow we have walked together. You have been my inspiration in everything I have undertaken, especially in my walk as a Christian. Many times I have seen the Spirit of God shining in your face. I love you far more than on the day you became my bride. Goodnight, dear; I’ll see you in the morning. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight, Mary. Mary, you are our firstborn. What a joy you have been to me! How glad I am that in face and spirit you have always reminded me of your mother. I see in you the sweet, beautiful, young woman who left her home to be the builder and keeper of mine. What a Christian you are, Mary! Never forget how your father loved you. Goodnight, Mary, goodnight.”
He then turned to his eldest son:
“Goodnight, Will. Will, your coming into our home has been an incredible blessing. You were a manly boy, and you have become an exemplary man. You love the God of your father. How proud I am of such a son! May you grow in every Christian grace and virtue. You have my love and blessing. Goodnight, Will, goodnight.”
Charlie was the next. Charlie had fallen under evil influences and grievously disappointed his father and mother. The dying man skipped him, and spoke to the youngest child, a beautiful young girl.
“Goodnight, Grace. Grace, your coming was like the breaking of a new day in our home. You have long been a song of gladness and a ray of light, filling our hearts with music. When you surrendered your life to Christ, my cup of happiness was filled to overflowing. Goodnight, my little Grace, goodnight.”
He then called Charlie to his side:
“Goodbye, Charlie. Charlie, what a promising boy you were. We believed you would develop into a great and noble man. We gave you all the opportunities we gave to the other children, but you have disappointed us. You have followed the broad and downward road. You have not heeded the warnings of God’s holy Word or hearkened to the call of the Saviour. But I have always loved you, and love you still, Charlie. God only knows how much I love you. Goodbye, Charlie, goodbye, goodbye.”
Charlie seized his father’s hand and between his sobs he cried out, “Father, why have you said ‘goodnight’ to the others and ‘goodbye’ to me?”
“For the simple reason that I will meet the others in heaven. But all the promises of God’s Word that assure us of a reunion also tell me I can have no hope of seeing you there. Goodbye, Charlie, goodbye!”
Charlie, realizing his lost condition, fell on his knees by his dying father’s bed and cried out to God in the agony of his soul, praying for the forgiveness of his sins and the hope of meeting his father again.
“Do you mean it, Charlie? Are you in earnest?”
“God knows I am,” said the brokenhearted young man.
“Then God has heard you and saved you, Charlie. It is goodnight and not goodbye. “Goodnight, my boy.” With this the father was gone into eternity.”
My eyes tear up just reading this story as it is so powerful and so true. There is no hope without Jesus Christ! Oh what a blessed Savior! I cannot keep silent. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so! I am redeemed, I am redeemed! Praise the Lord! Redeemed by His infinite mercy! His child forever I am!
I hope to see you in the morning!
When I originally posted this itwasis Easter Sunday so it was only fitting to share THE STORY OF JESUS.
I came across an audio narration produced by Zondervan telling the story of Jesus Christ which I have been listening to and enjoying. It is dramatized and well done. I often listened to the audio bible on this same website but had not seen this offering before. Most of it is the reading of the text from the NIV bible. They have added some additional wording here and there to help tell the story. This would even be good for children to listen to. I encourage you to check it out. HERE is a link to this audio story of Jesus.
There are 7 parts to it …
1) The birth of the King
2) Jesus’ ministry begins
3) No ordinary man
4) Jesus, the Son of God
5) The hour of darkness
6) The resurrection
7) New beginnings
In addition to the story of Jesus there are also several other readings available to listen to. You select from this same window (media player) which will appear:

I am sure many of us have seen the Chick tracts before. They are often found laying around here and there. They are the comic book type tracts. I used to see them laying around aboard ship when I was in the navy. I looked at a couple of them while aboard ship but I didn’t pay much attention to them and really didn’t have much interest in them at that time. There is a reason for that which I won’t go into at this time. Chick has many very good tracts but there are two or three that really stand out in my mind. One of them is what I write about today. I invite you to read this tract now. It might be your last opportunity as we have no assurance of our next breath or heartbeat. It would be most tragic to die without ever dealing with the most serious problem we all have …

We hear it all the time. Just for your information, God’s last name is not Damnit. Many people use God’s Name in vain. God gave man ten commandments and told us to obey them. The third commandment clearly says, “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.” As a Christian I am very offended when I hear people use God’s Name in such a manner. Why do people use God’s Name in vain? I have mixed emotions and thoughts when I hear this coming from the mouths of others. It angers me. It bothers me greatly. It frustrates me. But most of all it saddens me. I realize that those who do this don’t truly understand what they are doing. Have you ever thought about it? Interestingly we don’t hear people use the name of allah, buddha, or any other so called deity. (I don’t capitalize these names as they are not worthy of being capitalized for they are false gods and not deities at all.) No, people only use the Name of the true God … God (the Father), Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ, Lord. As to why this is true I think we need to look into why someone would want to use the Name of God in vain. Certainly saying “G-D it” is only a one way God’s Name can and is used in vain.
The Name of God is exalted above every name. There is a point in the future where at the Name of God (Jesus Christ) every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He alone is LORD. Since there is no higher Name it is God’s Name that mankind uses to express himself to his fellow man. By that I mean man uses God’s Name to try to impress upon others that he is exalted instead of God … that he is exalting himself above God. In reality God sits upon His throne and man by his words attempts to pull God down off of His throne and place himself upon it instead … making himself to appear more in control of what it being said … standing out to those he is speaking to and demeaning and disgracing God in the process. He does so in an attempt to impress others concerning himself because in reality he knows he is inferior to God. How sad and tragic it is to do this.
Man all too often says stuff that ought not be said. Telling someone to “go to hell” is an example. If we really understood what hell will be like and how terrible it will be why would we say to someone that we want them to go there? There has to be something very wrong with someone who would do so. I would think it would be far more appropriate to say “go to heaven”. Of course, since they say go to hell they obviously do have something wrong with them … and only God can remedy it.
Jeremiah 17:9 says “The heart is the most deceitful thing there is and desperately wicked. No one can really know how bad it is!” (Living Bible). We need God … we need His help … we need a Savior … we need the Savior! And His Name is Jesus Christ.
